558 – That’s it…

The plague
Of arrogant monkeys
Ran noisily
Upon the face
Of a sad little planet.

They were fun
And even cute, at first.

Seeing them go
From sticks and stones
To shiny spaceships
Had been at least
Entertaining.

But that was then,
This was now.

Faster than it rose,
Their intelligence
Plummeted down,
Drowned by their own
Greedy whims.

Itchy and scarred,
It’d had enough.

Fed up at last
The sad little planet
Grabbed the nearest comet
For a long overdue
Facepalm.
